Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, introduced Saga, a flagship Android mobile phone with unique functionality and integrated with the Solana blockchain. It allows to securely transact in web3 and manage digital assets, such as tokens and NFTs.
Solana Labs, announced the release of its Web3-focused mobile software platform and also revealed that the team is working on a smartphone (the physical device!).
The software platform is called Solana Mobile Stack. It’s a development kit for Android apps, wallpapers, and games. The stack will simplify the job of developers who wish to create decentralized applications while keeping a great user experience. The mobile device called Saga is set to release at the beginning of 2023.
Here are some of the features of Solana Mobile Stack:
- Mobile Wallet Adapter where the protocol links mobile and web apps to the blockchain wallet.
- Seed Vault keeps all your sensitive information away from the web and stores it securely. This includes the private keys of your crypto wallets that are required to authorize transactions.
